Dissemination Meeting: Water, Sanitation & Hygiene

The Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) program, funded by USAID, held its final dissemination meeting on January 28, 2019. The meeting served as a close-out event and presented results to stakeholders on the achievements in providing assistance to improve the use of clean water in Kampong Speu from October 2016 –January 2019. PSI/Cambodia was honored to have Mr. Pasoung Saosokun, Deputy Director of Kampong Speu Provincial Rural Development Department (PDRD) to attend the event and share his remarks on the benefit of the project.

Among the many achievements over the past two years are the increase in the number of new village shops carrying O-We water to over 300, reaching nearly 30,000 households through Inter-Personal Communication (IPC) agents and community level activities with messages on safe drinking water, as well as training health service providers on water borne diseases and how to treat water for safe consumption at 103 health outlets.
