SBC Forums Co-Creation Workshop with NCHP

USAID’s Promoting Healthy Behaviors Activity (PHB) in Cambodia works in close partnership with the Royal Government of Cambodia, particularly the National Centre for Health Promotion (NCHP). The goal of the two working together is for PHB to help strengthen the capacity of NCHP and for NCHP to eventually be the leading practitioners in Social and Behaviors Change (SBC) practices in Cambodia.

Recently, PHB and NCHP came together to collaborate and create ideas for future SBC Forums in a co-creation workshop. 8 members from NCHP attended, including NCHP Deputy Director Dr. Lak Leng, as well as one representative from USAID.

“The workshop provided me a lot of new ideas about something innovative and inspiring to make the SBC Forum brilliant and unforgettable.” — Dr. Sin Fanita, Vice Chief of Tobacco and Health of NCHP

The workshop took place at the Sunway Hotel in Phnom Penh and the room was full of excitement, energy and creative ideas. During the half day workshop, the PHB team, NCHP and USAID all worked together to co-ideate ideas about what makes a strong SBC Forum. Innovative and exciting ideas were shared and brainstormed in order to design the ideal SBC Forum. Dr. Sin Fanita, Vice Chief of Tobacco and Health of NCHP said the workshop “provided me a lot of new ideas about something innovative and inspiring to make the [future] SBC Forum brilliant and unforgettable.”

The workshop was very successful in engaging all participants and generating new ideas. PHB and NCHP will continue to collaborate going forward and PHB will also continue assisting NCHP in their capacity building. The future is very bright for SBC Forums and NCHP leading the way.
